Things to Keep in Mind
Tips for the Day of the Ceremony
Guide to Being the Ideal Guest
Dear guests! We are thrilled to celebrate our big day with you. As you know, the wedding is during the day in March, which means the weather might surprise us. So that you feel perfect, comfortable and appropriate, here are our most important tips.
1. The Great Taboo: Don’t Compete with the Bride!
Please, kindly, seriously, and telepathically, we beg you: DO NOT WEAR WHITE!
White: is our color. It’s the one color that, protocol-wise, is forbidden for everyone else. We don’t want confusion in the photos or grandmas judging your audacity.
False friends: This includes ivory, cream, very pale beige, and champagne. In daylight and in photos they appear white. There are thousands of beautiful colors in the world—let us have this one!
Strictly black: We want to celebrate joy. Full black is associated with mourning and is too solemn for a daytime event. If you choose it, please pair it with vibrant accessories!
2. The Dress Code: Short, Comfortable and With a Layer
Since this is a daytime wedding, the protocol is clear:
Ideal lengths (for women): Knee-length or midi dresses. Full-length gowns are reserved exclusively for evening events (or our mother/matron of honor and bridesmaids).
Stay warm with style! March weather can be unpredictable. A cape, structured blazer, or elegant jacket is essential. They’ll save you from the cold after the ceremony without ruining your look.
3. The Golden Opportunity: Crown Yourself!
If there was ever a moment to bring out your headpieces, it’s this one!
Pamalas and hats: YES, YES, YES! A daytime wedding is the perfect excuse to wear a stunning pamela. They bring joy and sophistication to photos.
Pamelas and headbands: If a pamela feels too much, a smaller headpiece with mesh, feathers, or an elegant jewel headband is the perfect detail to complement a great hairstyle.
4. Colours and Accessories We Love
We’re in transition from winter to spring, so play with both!
Bright colours: We adore soft pastels (lilac, blush pink, sky blue) and vibrant shades that add energy.
We kindly ask you to avoid earthy tones (terracotta, nude, camel, etc.) as these are the colours chosen for our bridesmaids and groomsmen.
5. A Crucial Heads-Up: Footwear Survival!
Choose shoes with a block heel, thick heel, or wedge. They will give you stability and let you walk gracefully (instead of like a flamingo with hiccups), and they won’t sink into the albero!
Our Hacienda has areas with Albero! That wonderfully rustic ground that looks amazing in photos but is the nemesis of delicate heels.
We want you to look dignified and avoid any epic falls. Remember: elegance starts at the base!
The most important thing for us is that you are comfortable and enjoy yourselves. Just avoid white, wear something on your head if you feel like it, and get ready to celebrate.
And most importantly, bring all your desire to enjoy yourselves, laugh, and celebrate life and love.
See you at the altar!
With love,
Your Bride and Groom
